The documentary leads into the world of deaf mime Josef Michael Kreutzer aka JOMI. The “protagonists” creates the content by themselves. With a reduced team, I filmed inconspicuously, so that the dynamics of a situation fully unfolds.

The idea of the film started in 2003 when I was making my first documentary in Namibia, where I accidentally discovered JOMI posters, then went to the show and filmed scenes that were now incorporated. The script has evolved at the cutting table. I worked out the conflicts that make up the protagonist. The documentary lives from what the supporting characters have to say, just as the young director Jenny Theobald, who supports JOMI after his crisis.
